The Candee Dish

Hello everyone!  I'm not going to lie, today was a struggle to come up with some Faves.  This rain and a lot of little nagging chores and issues have kept me from freely finding Faves.  But, I did find them! 1) We changed out our breakfast room light fixture and I love this new one!   2) It's the little things...I love this new board I got for under our Keurig.  Our little Keurig has lasted for years and years but sometimes there are water spots underneath it (it could be from "bad pouring" into the reservoir) so this board is going to protect my counter top.  Walt says water won't mess up the countertops, but I'm not so sure. 3) I love The Voice.  No matter what changes they throw at me, what stars they put on as judges, I still look forward to coming home, eating dinner with Walt, and watching The Voice with Finley curled up beside me.  I was sad it wasn't on tonight. 4) I love the Peppermint/Lemon essential oil combinatio...

Whoa!  I can't believe it's been a whole week since I've posted anything.  I went to Vegas last Thursday, had a blast, and didn't have time to post! Vegas presented several Fave possibilities, but I did just narrow it down to two.  Here we go! 1) I know, I know, I'm SUPER late to the party, but I love Hello Fresh!  (Thanks Tracey Kersey!) We just started it this week, and we are in love.  Not only is the food delicious, but we also get to eat at home which ends up saving us money.  The first night we had Pork Tenderloin (shown above).  Last night we had Chicken Pineapple Quesadillas, and my husband said they were the best Quesadillas he's ever had.  We'll see what tonight brings... 2) Beer Park, Las Vegas.  This place never disappoints!!  It's right outside the Paris Hotel on a second story rooftop.  We played games, we ate, we drank, we laughed, we people watched...LOVE this place!  Here we are with our favo...

Better late than never, right?  Happy Valentine's Day everyone!  Let's get started! 1) My favorite Valentine this year and every year for the past 23 years is my son Harrison.  Twenty-three years ago, my husband Walt and I decided to give up Valentine's Day and let this day be Harrison's birthday!  He's in Fayetteville this year, and I'm sad not to celebrate him.  (Disclaimer: I had just tripped on the curb and slid on the sidewalk outside the movie theater cutting up my knees and bruising my palms before this photo was taken) 2) We had the best Game Night last Saturday!  I had seen this game, Hearing Things, on TV and bought it on a whim.  It was SO much fun!!  A couple of the people at Game Night said they actually liked it better than Speak Out.  Definitely a keeper! 3) My Valentine's Day plates from Pottery Barn.  I like unique seasonal decor rather that the outspoken, traditional kind.  Love is love. 4) I saw...

I was awakened this morning to the sound of people talking outside my window.  Once my heart rate returned to normal, I remembered today was the day, the day to remove the massive Cottonwood tree from our backyard.  There it is in the in the middle of the photo.  I'm not sure why but I have been dragging my feet about the removal of this tree.  I think felt like it was going to alter the look of the backyard.  Never you mind that twice a year, every year, this tree wreaks so much havoc on my sanity!  It drops stuff everywhere and makes such a mess that it renders our backyard unusable without a LOT of clean up work.  I should be overjoyed this tree is coming down!  And, maybe I am...I'll keep an open mind. Hello Wednesday!  I just realized I did not post all week.  I'm going to have to change that going forward.  But, today is Wednesday and you know what that means! 1) Yes, I am aware that the toilet light has made the Faves before, but I love it that much!  Every. Single. Day. Every time I see it, I say to myself, "I love this little light!  It makes me so happy!"  My children still roll their eyes, although one of them did set it up in their apartment...but I love it! 2) I love Lean Cuisines!  Do not judge me harshly.  I realize they have preservatives, blah, blah, blah, but they are better for me than fast food!  They are perfect to have on hand for lunches and when my husband is traveling.  It makes me feel like I've meal prepped.  They save money and help with portion control. 3) I am loving this Brain Food for snacks!  I got it at our Grow Group last night, and it is super yummy!  There are 3 servings in...
