Wednesday Faves Week #22

Image
It's Wednesday, it's Faves time and I am super excited about all four of these!  Without further ado: 1) Y'all, these hangers are life changing!  Well, yes, there are more serious things in life, but these things are awesome!  I have used white plastic hangers forEVER and my clothes would always slip off so I had to resort to clothespins to keep them on.  I decided to give these grey felt hangers a try and every piece of clothing I have hung on them have stayed put!  And, they take up less room.  It has been quite an investment making the switch but it is well worth it. 2) So, a little backstory: When we first moved into our house, the previous owner had about 100 nails tapped into the built-in chest of drawers in my closet for her earrings.  She had a LOT of earrings!  I pulled out all of the nails, but the holes drove me crazy!  I tried to hang stuff (bulletin boards, etc) over them, but I didn't like that either.  It seemed lik...

Wednesday Faves Week #21

Here we go again, Wednesday Faves: 1) I am so excited about this!  I haven't watched the whole thing, but basically this is Harlan Coben's second "made for Netflix" show.  His first one, The Five, was awesome!  I am so excited about this one and plan on binge watching it this weekend.  It's only like six episodes, then it's solved and done. It's "English" so I do have to pay attention to understand what they are saying, but I just know I'm going to love it! 2) I am digging these "toe socks" I got for Mother's Day (surprise kids...this is one of the gifts you got for me!) for my Pure Barre classes.  I thought they would be very awkward, and perhaps hot, but I have been pleasantly surprised.  (Side note: I will only use the Pure Barre sticky socks for class as they seem to grip better than other brands) 3) I love this sign my friend Cynthia found, and I am SO purchasing one!  I already have a "No Soliciting...

Wednesday Faves Week #20

Hello!  Wednesday Fave time... 1) On Mother's Day, I was 0 for 3 on seeing my kids, but 3 for 3 on talking to them!  My sweet hubby tried to pick up the slack and make my day special.  I  found a recipe for Tiffany Mimosas on FB which he tried to recreate.  While this looks more like the water at Six Flags or perhaps antifreeze, he gets EXCELLENT marks for "attempt".  Subsequent attempts yielded a lighter blue.  We got close to Tiffany blue!  And he served me coffee in my special mug my daughter got for me last Mother's Day.  He took a lot of time and care in making my day special so he makes my Faves' list!  Cudos to you, Walt! 2) Hello Fresh hits the Faves again!  We had this dinner last night and it might have been our most favorite yet.  Tonight's dinner got high marks as well.  I have many friends who have suggested Blue Apron or Plated, but we have been SO happy with Hello Fresh that I don't really want to...

Wednesday Faves Week #19

Some weeks are harder than others to come up with Faves.  This week I'm a tired, but proud, mom celebrating Hudson's Summa Cum Laude Biomedical Science (with a minor in Business) Graduation from Auburn University.  We are also celebrating his acceptance to Baylor College of Medicine for the fall of 2018.   I have a bit of a cough, so two of the Faves took awhile to come up with.  But, here we go: 1) This is actually my favorite Fave of the week!  I figured this out on my own (y'all have probably been doing it for years) and I'm so happy!  I was having trouble with getting the last bits of my Daily Cleansing Mask out of the tube (is that a tube?) so I cut the top off and  was able to get about a week's worth out of it easily.  I didn't want it to dry out, so I put the part I cut off down on it as a lid.  It worked so well I tried it with my Blow Out Cream for my hair.  I'll get two weeks' worth from that one easily!...

Weekly Faves Week #18 (and #17)

Good morning everyone!  So, last week was quite a week and I did not do my Faves.  I was waiting and waiting for my friend Holly to tell me that her mom asked about them, and on the weekend, SHE DID!  So, here you go Miss Vicki, two weeks worth of Faves, just for you! Week #18: 1) My best birthday present ever!  I have been asking for a washer and dryer for all of my holidays for the past year.  My hubby did not want to be known as "that guy" who gives his wife appliances for a gift.  He finally gave in and I couldn't be happier!  I'm super glad I went back to a top loading washer, I like it so much better. 2) I loved this book!  I like "POV" books a lot and this one did not disappoint.  It is one of my favorites of this year. 3) I saw this quote on IG, posted by Mom Advice, whom I follow.  I have been thinking about it for the past couple of days, and just wow...such good advice! 4) Pure Barre hits the Faves again....
