Wednesday Faves Week #20

Hello!  Wednesday Fave time...

1) On Mother's Day, I was 0 for 3 on seeing my kids, but 3 for 3 on talking to them!  My sweet hubby tried to pick up the slack and make my day special.  I  found a recipe for Tiffany Mimosas on FB which he tried to recreate.  While this looks more like the water at Six Flags or perhaps antifreeze, he gets EXCELLENT marks for "attempt".  Subsequent attempts yielded a lighter blue.  We got close to Tiffany blue!  And he served me coffee in my special mug my daughter got for me last Mother's Day.  He took a lot of time and care in making my day special so he makes my Faves' list!  Cudos to you, Walt!

2) Hello Fresh hits the Faves again!  We had this dinner last night and it might have been our most favorite yet.  Tonight's dinner got high marks as well.  I have many friends who have suggested Blue Apron or Plated, but we have been SO happy with Hello Fresh that I don't really want to branch out.  It's changed mealtime around here for sure.

3) I love this Morton's Coarse Kosher Salt.  I use it quite often in place of regular table salt and it does make a difference!

4) I LOVE my new sunglasses from Madewell, and I love that my friend, Deana Lawrence, was willing to share the details with me so I could find them!  You know, sometimes we girls don't like to share our secret finds, and shame on us!  Thanks Deana!!

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
