The Candee Dish

  As of today, Summer is over, so let’s lean into Fall. I wanted to include our Sled Dog Excursion as one of my Faves, but it already seems like so long ago! 1) The Lie in Our Marriage  This book gave me a love/hate feeling, but in the end, I guess love wins. The problem started with the narrator. He was like this English Butler sounding guy telling a story and it was just so odd (especially when he cried like one of the female characters). It was a weird choice for a narrator and was so off putting I almost didn’t continue. I definitely would read this one instead of listen to it. It did have a plot twist I didn’t see coming. I ended up being entertained by this book, but Anna-Lou was giving me some red flags in the beginning. 2) Sunday Citizen XO Throw  I love this blanket! It’s super thick and cozy, but also pretty pricey. I got mine on sale. I was nervous to spend so much since we have dogs and I needed it to be washable.   We just got back from an Alaskan Cruise with our family, and while next week’s Faves may include some things from that adventure, this week’s does kind of have a travel theme, or rather a “things to take on your travels” theme. 1) Phase 10 Card Game  On the cruise we had a couple of days at sea, and played this game for hours! I had played it one time before, many years ago, and didn’t love it. Maybe it was right time, right place, and my family really likes to play games, but this was so much fun!! (I don’t like the skip card being used against me though!)
