Summer (Travel) Faves

 We just got back from an Alaskan Cruise with our family, and while next week’s Faves may include some things from that adventure, this week’s does kind of have a travel theme, or rather a “things to take on your travels” theme.

1) Phase 10 Card Game On the cruise we had a couple of days at sea, and played this game for hours! I had played it one time before, many years ago, and didn’t love it. Maybe it was right time, right place, and my family really likes to play games, but this was so much fun!! (I don’t like the skip card being used against me though!) I purchased this game and can’t wait to play it at home!

2) None of This is True by Lisa Jewell Yes, I know, I gave this book its own post, but I loved it and it is great to take on a trip (much better than the book I actually did bring on the trip…) I listened to this book and highly recommend that, but reading it would be great too!

3) Women’s Poncho Sweater Travel Shawl I keep one of these (usually a black one) rolled up in my travel backpack. On this trip I pulled out this green one while on the plane and my stepsister Lisa went crazy for it! Most planes don’t provide blankets anymore, so if I get chilly, I whip this out and put it on. It keeps your shoulders warm! I wore it to the restaurant on the ship one night, but I also put it on in the mornings when getting coffee when guests are in our home because I don’t really like robes.

4) Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm I got this in a FabFitFun box and I love it! I’ve since gone online and bought it in some other colors/flavors. It’s nice to wear alone for casual outings or over lip pencil.

I sure miss the weather in Alaska! Loved getting to wear my coat and a beanie. Maybe someday, Texas…

Friday Faves

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
