Friday Faves

 As of today, Summer is over, so let’s lean into Fall. I wanted to include our Sled Dog Excursion as one of my Faves, but it already seems like so long ago!

1) The Lie in Our Marriage This book gave me a love/hate feeling, but in the end, I guess love wins. The problem started with the narrator. He was like this English Butler sounding guy telling a story and it was just so odd (especially when he cried like one of the female characters). It was a weird choice for a narrator and was so off putting I almost didn’t continue. I definitely would read this one instead of listen to it. It did have a plot twist I didn’t see coming. I ended up being entertained by this book, but Anna-Lou was giving me some red flags in the beginning.

2) Sunday Citizen XO Throw I love this blanket! It’s super thick and cozy, but also pretty pricey. I got mine on sale. I was nervous to spend so much since we have dogs and I needed it to be washable. I just washed and dried on “Delicate” and it did very well! 

3) Royalty Art Whiskey Glasses I bought these from Amazon after going out to a restaurant that served my drink in something similar. I love the cut glass. It makes me feel so fancy, even when I’m drinking a glass of tea in the evening while watching our shows. It’s the little things, but these glasses give me happy fancy vibes.

4) Flight 93: The Story, The Aftermath, and The Legacy of American Courage on 9/11 Last week was the 9/11 anniversary, of course. I decided I wanted to “read” something about it. I chose this book and it was SO interesting. I learned a lot and I loved the personal stories about the passengers on the flight. The author went through the detailed sequence of events, gave the backstory on the hijackers, told about each passenger (the oldest, youngest, only one married couple on the flight, etc) and so much more. I am so glad I chose this book!
