Wednesday Faves Week #35

Image
So I'm SUPER excited about all of my Faves this week!  I love them. 1) This concept: I like you because, I love you despite.   Last week I was on the phone with my youngest, Hudson, and we were talking about when someone does something you don't agree with.  He said, "Oh, like that 'I like you because, I love you despite' thing?  You know mom, like you like me because we enjoy hanging out together, but you love me despite my argumentativeness or my temper."  It was like a light bulb went off in my head!  Especially with my adult children who are deciding what's right for them and I may not agree.  I still like so much about them, and of course I love them.  That's grace, y'all!   2) This Doozy app.   I have almost changed over completely to an electronic planner.  I was finding that I just wasn't using my paper planner because it wasn't convenient.  I always have my phone with me.  I began using a Google c...

Wednesday Faves Week #34

Good morning!  What a week!  I so enjoyed my vacation this past week!  As a matter of fact, it's one of my faves, so I'll get right to it! 1) I love cruises!  And, I love Regent Cruises...they have spoiled me.  They are a little pricey, but I think don't think I'll ever cruise a different cruise line.  I am so happy the entire time I am on board.  I love sleeping at night with the boat rocking.  The food was fantastic, and cruising Alaska was beyond spectacular!  It was so beautiful and its the one place that I enjoy hearing it's history. Go figure. 2) I'm seriously digging my new laptop cover.  I like the way it feels, and it blends in with my decor (ha, ha, like that really matters) and I love it!  It looks like marble. 3) My friend Susan posted this on Facebook, a good friend of hers, Lori, sent it to her.  It's from a devotion book by Christine Caine.  I heard Christine speak at Gateway, and she is so in...

Wednesday "Still" Faves Week #33

Since I am traveling this week and needed to write this post early, I decided to share with you some things I am still loving and highly recommend!  Every time I use or see these things I think, "I still love this!" 1) I love this little duo right here!  Lash Boost and UD Perversion mascara actually have people asking me if my lashes are real.  That never happened before the Lash Boost.  It really takes minimal effort to get good results! 2) I love my water bottle from Three Drops of Life.  It has made me so much more aware of when I'm drinking water, and how much I'm consuming.  My water intake has gone up tremendously. 3) Before I even get started on this one, I KNOW someone is going to make a comment about being up at 5:42 am.  Yes, it's true.  I was up around 4 actually.  And not too happy about it.  I love my Notes app on my phone!  Once I discovered I could make bold titles and lists with check off boxes, I was...

Wednesday Faves Week #32

Good morning!  I woke up very early, but I had all of my Faves picked out yesterday so I decided to get them to you first thing! 1) I love this song, Have It All, by Jason Mraz.  I honestly don't think you can listen to it and not feel happy, feel your cares melt away, and put a spring in your step.  As a matter of fact, I watched the video and listened to the song just before writing this post, and I think I set the tone for a really good day!  If you haven't heard it, I encourage you to listen to it today and perhaps even watch the video.   2) I am blown away (no pun intended, ha, ha!) by this hair dryer.  I'm not going to lie, it is expensive!  A little back story: For several months I have been struggling with thinning hair.  I think things are turning around now, but I have been willing to spend more money on things for my hair to try and get things turned around. I had wanted to try the Dyson hair dryer everyone is raving abo...

Wednesday Faves (on Saturday, yikes) Week #31

Yes, I know it's Saturday...it's been a busy busy week!  Better late than never.   1) Whitewater rafting in Oregon (well, it was really in Washington...) It was such a fun adventure!  Our guide was super nice, it was probably my favorite excursion on the trip. 2) My friend Leslie gave me these wine bags for traveling.  We took some wine to Oregon and they worked perfectly!  Thanks Leslie!  They are thin and bubble-wrappy so I was skeptical, but they worked great! 3) I have been trying to drink a ton of water lately and sometimes that just gets very blah.  I like this Mio flavor as a little pick me up in the afternoon.  It's my little treat.  (I like the ones without caffeine that I drink more of as well) 4) I love my Kindle Fire.  I can keep several books with me at all times.  I used to have an iPad, but I mainly only read books on it, occasionally searched the internet, and since I can do all of those thing...
