Wednesday Faves Week #35
So I'm SUPER excited about all of my Faves this week! I love them.
1) This concept: I like you because, I love you despite. Last week I was on the phone with my youngest, Hudson, and we were talking about when someone does something you don't agree with. He said, "Oh, like that 'I like you because, I love you despite' thing? You know mom, like you like me because we enjoy hanging out together, but you love me despite my argumentativeness or my temper." It was like a light bulb went off in my head! Especially with my adult children who are deciding what's right for them and I may not agree. I still like so much about them, and of course I love them. That's grace, y'all!
2) This Doozy app. I have almost changed over completely to an electronic planner. I was finding that I just wasn't using my paper planner because it wasn't convenient. I always have my phone with me. I began using a Google calendar long ago, then I started using my Notes app, but one thing my friend Donna and I try to do is list 5 "to dos" to accomplish specifically each day. I used to put it on my "day" page, but didn't want to put it on my electronic calendar. I figured, well, there's an app for everything ever, so maybe I'll find an app for this. And I found a doozy (pun intended)! It literally lets you input to dos on separate days AND, and it transfers them automatically to the next day if you don't complete them. I LOVE IT!! It was either free or costs $0.99. It is perfect!
3) These College Footballs for my porch. My Fave season is finally here-College Football! Not only do I love cheering on my teams, I love getting to put my footballs back on the porch. Having three schools to cheer for and only two front doors, I needed to find some way to display my teams. About 4 years ago I took to Etsy to find my solution. I collaborated with a lady on Etsy. I gave her my vision and she did the rest. Definitely on my Faves' list year after year! Sic 'Em, Woo Pig, War Eagle!
4) Short pillows. Yes, short pillows. While on our cruise, I slept SO good every night. Part of it was the boat rocking, I just love that, but it dawned on me that it was also short pillows! On our bed at home we have been sleeping with king sized pillows for awhile and just weren't getting great sleep. We were getting stiff necks, and various other aches and pains. As soon as I got home, I changed out all of our king sized pillows for short ones (standard). We have slept so good every night since we have been home. It's a miracle!
Have a great week and and a wonderful Labor Day!
