New Year, New Day…Friday Faves are here!

Happy New Year! Are we ready for 2020 “too”?? I am one of the crazy people that actually enjoyed the lockdown period, but I know if there’s a repeat, it won’t be the same.  I’ve decided to rename my weekly Faves: Friday Faves.  I just like the sound of it, and I think I can be more consistent on Fridays.

1) Engraved Cutting Board I had these cutting boards made for my kids for Christmas. I’m not sure which is more my favorite: the cutting board, or my daughter’s reaction to it.  My mother, her Gigi, passed away last March. She always made this egg casserole for Christmas morning.  When she got sick, she gave the recipe to Hayley to make it. Now, Hayley makes it for all of our family events and makes it for her Grandad from time to time as well. This was my mom’s original recipe in her handwriting.  Hayley said it may have been the best gift of her life (she’s my sentimental one, gotta love it!).

2) Leopard Vases I love these vases.  They are smooth and timeless and make me smile every time I see them (which is a lot as they reside on my island)! I believe they came from West Elm.  I also have the same ones in a terracotta color which I love too!

3) Baylor Bears Sugar Bowl Champs I love my Bears!  I love Dave Aranda! They are a class act and continue to amaze.  I am super sad about the players that are leaving for the draft. Listening to Aranda’s post game speech after the Sugar Bowl, you realize how impressive and amazing these young men are.  Sic’Em!

4) Mary Kay Apricot Glaze Lipstick Do they still make this?  I sure hope they do! I have loved this stuff since the ‘90s! A couple of years ago I ordered more, but I can’t remember if I ordered it from Mary Kay or EBay…oh I hope they still make it, it’s my favorite!!

Stay warm!
