Weekly Faves

 Ha, notice the name change to “Weekly Faves”. It’s been awhile couple of weeks since I’ve done Faves and my daughter said I need to get back to it. Since Fridays can be challenging days, I’ve decided just sometime during the week. I like telling y’all my current favorite things so I’ll try to be a little more consistent.


1) Laura Geller New York Italian Sheer Lipstick-Al Fresco I love this lipstick. It’s the perfect color and the perfect consistency. Beautiful!

2) Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak My son recommended this book to me, and I enjoyed it! I listened to this book, but I do think it’s better to read it as it does have pictures in it that pertain to the story. A PDF came with the audiobook, so I could in fact see the pictures, but not always in real time. I thought it was a good read!

3) Jesus Listens and Jesus Calling for Christmas I have really loved having these books this holiday season. I think I will pull them out every year going forward. The entries are always so timely with what is happening that day. 

4) MINGKIDS Timer Star Light Projector Y’all…who knew this little less than $20 star projector would be such a game changer?! I first purchased it for my little niece for her birthday when she turned 4 and her parents said she really liked it and used it every night. When my sweet Andy was born I bought two more, one for his house and one for his C.C.’s house. His parents started using it early on, and said it was a definite game changer and sent videos of him just staring at it. We got it set up here and he uses it when napping or going down for his 11 hour sleep at night (he’s 3 months old). I love this little thing and the little recipients of it too!

These are the things I am loving this week, plus the cold weather today!

Friday Faves

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
