Wednesday Faves Week #10
Good afternoon, guys! We have now hit double digits for weeks into 2018. Yikes!
Here are my Faves for this week:
1) The movie Wonder. Normally these feel good movies aren't my cup of tea, but Wonder was WONDERful! My husband thanked me for pressing that we watch it and he even stayed awake the whole time (that is also a Wonder)! My daughter and I wiped away tears the whole time and we just loved that Jack Will!
These kiddos did SUCH a great job!
2) The Netflix series Queer Eye. Ok, stay with me here. My daughter Hayley is always wanting me to watch different videos, TV shows, listen to songs, etc. and I always say "Nah..." So when she told me I HAD to watch Queer Eye I just rolled my eyes and put her off. This past weekend she was home for a visit and again she brought up Queer Eye. She said, "Mom, please! At least watch the first one!" So we sat down and watched the first episode and within 24 hours had completed the season. The Fab five, as they're called, are very kind and helpful. The "subjects" are so gracious and they say the greatest things after their experience that truly makes you proud to be a part of the human race!
3) This Aveeno Positively Nourishing Calming Lotion is my absolute favorite "outside of the shower" lotion. Y'all know when the weather is cold I like my in-shower lotion, but I do like it when the weather is warm so I can use this lotion. I love the smell of it and the consistency of it.
4) Surprise Flowers today! Thanks Walt! So, I have to tell on myself a little bit. This morning was the first in a long long time that I had no reason to get up. No Pure Barre, no mentoring, no nothing...so I decided to hang out in bed and read and watch TV with Finley. It was getting close to the lunchtime hour, and the doorbell rang. I could see on my phone there was actually someone standing at the door so I went to answer it looking lovely in my pjs and crazy hair. The guy said, "Are you Candee Holmes?" I told him I was and he said, "I have two flower deliveries for you." I told him I wasn't expecting flowers and he said those were the best kind!

Aren't they beautiful?! And it's nice to know someone notices my "family running" skills, ha, ha!
Clearly, I had lots of things to put a smile on my face this week! It was hard to choose just four. Now, if my momma could just kick this flu out of her life, I'd be over the moon! Get well soon sweet momma!
P.S. Honorable mention for my Faves this week goes to this sweet text from my son:
I'll just leave that right there...happy Wednesday!
