2019 Week #11 Wednesday Faves

Here are my Faves for this rainy, soggy Wednesday:


1) I found this new lip stuff after I got back from Cabo.  I have been using the same chapstick for years, in fact, I think I own stock in the company!  But, it stopped working for me, my lips almost felt more chapped.  I found this Neutrogena Overnight Lip Therapy on Amazon.  The reviews were great so I gave it a try.  It worked!  In just one day my lips felt so much more hydrated.

2) This guy, Gerald Knight.  He passed away suddenly on Sunday, and I deeply regret not telling him that he was one of my Faves while I had the chance.  He's Walt's cousin who lived in Auburn.  He was so good to Hudson while he was in school there, so good to all of us.  He was kind, funny, and just about the best guy you could ever know.  He is missed terribly, and is truly one of my Faves.

3) I've been on the diffuser craze lately, and I love this one because of its fancy lights!  I keep it in the kitchen, because the lights would bother me at night while I slept.  I have also discovered some really nice refreshing scents at Pier 1.  Love, love, love this!

4) Last week I decided it was time for me to start getting regular facials.  My aesthetician told me it was not a moment too soon! (Ha, ha!!!) She said my face was very dehydrated, even though I'm prone to oiliness.  Some of the things I was doing were too harsh.  While I don't always subscribe to this sort of thing, I decided to listen to her.  She recommended this cleanser to start, and I love it.  It's very gentle and I do feel like it's helping rehydrate my face.  It's much softer.

Hmmm, I'm sensing a theme of dehydration in my Faves this week.  Maybe I brought this rain on! Well, I'm off to do some very BIG projects today!  More on that later... #happywednesday

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
