2019 Week #18 Wednesday Faves

I am up super early this morning to do my Faves.  I have a very busy day, although I'm already feeling sleepy...ha, ha!

1) I change my sheets every Monday.  I love walking in the room early in the afternoon and seeing that I've already completed the task for the day!  We have a Tempurpedic bed and changing its sheets is not for the faint of heart...its tough work.  When I get it done early in the day, it sets the tone for a good day!

2) Way back in 2015, my daughter was days from graduating from the University of Arkansas, and I posted this on Facebook.  When it showed up as my memory yesterday, Hayley sent it to me.  Neither of us know where she got this quote from originally, but man, it is SUPER applicable in both of our lives right now:  Don't let the pursuit of happiness become the source of unhappiness.

Wow.

3) My friend Cynthia got me to download this fun little app.  It's back and forth video recordings with people.  When I made my kids download it, the older two said, "Can't you just use Snapchat?"  But, for us old folks, sometimes Snapchats go away too fast.  My sweet youngest child understood I just wanted to see his face from time to time, so he sent me a Marco Polo yesterday!  I made my friend Donna download it because she LOVES back and forth video messages, and I got to hear from my friend Kim in Scotland! (and this morning, Kim sent me another video, but she didn't think it was on, so I think she turned it off and did the rest of the message, ha, ha! Oh well, she tried!)

4) Good ol' Topo Chico.  I love it!  It's so refreshing, and drinking out of the glass bottle makes me feel so hip!  I forget about it, but it's been my "go to" for the past few nights, sitting on the couch, acting so hip. ;)

This week I actually have an honorable mention Fave.  I'm not sure which part is the Fave, the photo, or my husband's reaction!


After this popped up on my Facebook, I sent it to my husband and he said: Thank GOODNESS you don't like to wear T-shirts!!!

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone.   Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
