Wednesday Faves Week 15

How’s everyone doing? Hanging in there?

1) He’ll probably die if someone tells him he’s one of my Faves. I thought I’d use an old photo of where it all began. My friend Stan is truly a Fave of mine. We met in college and he was instrumental in getting Walt and me together. We give each other HELL, but he has been such a good friend to us and “uncle” to our children. He’s an ER doc and is serving on the front lines. If that’s not enough, he has taken some time to advise us and research for us regarding some very serious health issues my mother is having. Thank you for always being there for us, Stan. Don’t get a big head that I’m actually saying nice things about you! 😉

2) Do you feel like it’s Groundhog Day because, once again, YouTube is a part of my Faves? You can find ANYTHING on YouTube. And what I love most is that YouTube gets to know you and starts recommending things that will interest you. Did you know you can go on a virtual hike through the Redwood Forest? I told my friend: YouTube thinks I like relaxation, meditation and that I am quite spiritual. This morning’s meditative music showed some of the most wonderful scenery. As I was walking through my bedroom this giraffe stopped me in my tracks! I stood there mesmerized watching him eat!

3) I am not sure what is more my Fave, this Chicken Salad or my friend Valerie for her guidance. I can follow recipes really well, but I rarely venture on my own, and without measuring a thing! Valerie told me what she put in and I used what I had and it was REALLY good! A very good first effort!

4) This seems like a weird Fave, but I was about a minute shy of getting a new dishwasher. My dishes (on the top row especially) almost had this weird kinda greasy film. It started shortly after we ran out of our Cascade Platinum Pods and I tried something new in a pinch. I told my husband he was going to have to get me a new dishwasher for my birthday. He said, “Can we please try a dishwasher cleaner (for about $5) and change back to our old dishwasher pods?” So, I agreed to try. And it worked! Once I started using the Cascade Pods again, our dishes come out perfect! Kinda sad I don’t get a new dishwasher, but happy to save money for now.
