A Day Late, But Ya Know...Rolling Blackouts

I’m trying to be consistent about Faves, despite some challenges. In our area, we have been relatively lucky. We have been on “regular interval” rolling blackouts for the most part. Last night (Wednesday) was our longest blackout from 6:10 pm til 10:49 pm. Frozen pizza was no longer an option, but Mac N Cheese to the rescue!! 


1) The Tiger Documentary on HBO was very interesting. I felt sad for Tiger, then found myself rooting for him by the end. 

2) I have been loving this Modere Liquid Collagen. My hair feels thicker. A blogger I follow raved about it and she was not wrong!

3) While I am addicted to the Kerastase hair products, this Relaxing Scrub is beyond awesome! I was a little concerned about using it because it does look like an exfoliating scrub, but it made my hair feel amazing! It felt completely different and very healthy after I used it. I plan on only using it once a month (it is pricey but should last forever), I love it!!

4) My trusty Labelmaker came through for me during the blackouts. With no power, I cleaned out, alphabetized and organized my spices. I keep my spices on Lazy Susan’s so I labeled each one so I’d better be able to find the spice I am looking for (and hopefully others will put spices back where they belong).

Friday Faves

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone.   Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
