They said 2021 was gonna be better...
I feel like I have a LOT of lemonade sitting around from all of the lemons life has been giving us lately. But, I’m not going to complain. We’re all in this together, and I am grateful for so much.
1) I know the last time I shared a hack some of y’all loved it! So just wait til you hear about this hack for my Keurig with these felt furniture pads. I’d give credit for it, but I can’t remember where on IG I saw it. If you stick felt pads underneath your Keurig it slides back and forth on the counter easily (like it’s on a pull out shelf). Slide it out when using it or filling it with water, and slide it back when not in use. I did this to both of our Keurigs and it is FANTASTIC. It’s the little things...
2) I am an excellent grilled cheese maker. I thought it was because of my secret ingredient (Havarti cheese), but now I think it’s my skills. During the snowstorm/power outages I sent Walt to the grocery store for white bread and Havarti cheese. He came home with artisan bread and smoked Gouda slices. That is all the store had. We were lucky to get that! So...I felt a little skeptical, but I gave it a go. It was EXCELLENT! Very very good! I highly recommend Smoked Gouda Grilled Cheese Sandwiches.
3) I am loving my Bright Blue Nail Color. It makes me happy as well as being a conversation starter! Fun for a change.
4) Behind Her Eyes is a limited series (I think six episodes) on Netflix. I read the book back in 2017 and recommended it to several friends. The twist is so shocking that I couldn’t forewarn my friends. Some of you really really liked the book (as did I) and some of you thought I lost my mind! When I saw it had been made into a miniseries I was like: Hmmm, is this the same as that book I read? Indeed it is! I’m not sure if it was less shocking because I knew what was happening or because I was seeing it instead of reading it. Nevertheless, it was VERY good! I enjoyed it!
I’ll keep on making lemonade, and be grateful for the opportunity. Happy Wednesday! Stay safe, stay strong!
