Friday Faves

 Yes, today is Thursday. Can you believe I’m posting Faves a day early? I will be “out of office” tomorrow as it’s Match Day for Hudson in Houston, and he has a full itinerary for us. No time for Faves, ha, ha!


 1) Doberman Sandals Ha, ha, that’s what my friend Tom calls these shoes. They are Steve Madden and I got sucked into an IG ad, but I am SO glad I did. I love these shoes and get lots of comments and compliments on them. I’m about to order a second pair I think! Beware: If you slip them off and put your feet on top of them, it is kind of uncomfortable 🥴 

2) Amazon Echo & Compatible Battery Base This is an Amazon Echo. It’s larger than the Echo Dot. It requires a specific battery base, and I love it! I know, I know, a lot of people don’t want Alexa spying on them, blah, blah. I love her! I have been looking for a solution of spontaneous music on our patio. This Echo lives on the battery base in my laundry room. When we go outside, I unplug it (the battery base stays with it), take it to the patio and ask it to play music. We are good to go for the next 5 hours!

3) Big Wood Bowl I love this bowl! Purchased it last weekend while we were on our Girls’ Weekend in Dripping Springs. We made a lot of memories and this bowl is an awesome one! We had to have it in our group. We were on a mission. If I tire of it, I’m selling it to my friend, Mona. The store it was purchased from and our new friends “the store owners” are the bomb!

4) Bloody Revolution Bloody Mary Mix This stuff is SO good! We went to the Deep Eddy’s Vodka Distillery and I ordered a Spicy Bloody Mary. The server told me she only uses this mix and a little jalapeño and it was yum! I asked what the mix was and she said, “Do you live in Texas?” Not sure if it is only sold in Texas, but now I am on the hunt for it!

Have a great weekend! So excited to find out where my son (and me as often as possible) will be for the next seven years! Stay tuned!

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
