 It’s time for the weekly installment of Friday Faves!


1) Amazon Echo Show This one is in my kitchen, but I have one in my bathroom too. While getting ready I can listen to a podcast, a TV show, music, whatever! I like the Show because it has a display and suggests things to ask her. I gave one to my stepfather for Christmas so he can see what’s happening, instead of just hoping he instructs her right. Have you ever seen the SNL skit of Alexa and the older generation? It’s so funny and accurate!

2) Black Shower We just had our bathroom redone, and I knew above anything else I wanted a black shower! I wasn’t going to let anyone talk me out of it. I love it!! Everyone else, even the nay sayers, love it too!

3) Firefly Aglow Gilded Fig Candle I purchased this on my recent trip to Dripping Springs and it smells SO good! I really like fig scents. Who knew?

4) LG Top Loading Washer and Dryer About 4-5 years ago, for my birthday, I asked for a top loading washer/dryer to replace my front loaders. Walt did not want to be the guy that gave his wife appliances for her birthday, but I persuaded him. I love them! I love doing laundry! I’m so happy I went back to a top loading washer! As luck would have it, it fits so much better in my current laundry room than a front loading washer would have (we moved 2 1/2+ years ago). It also brings my kids around when they need laundry done. Love these!

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
