Friday Faves from Nashville
Been making a lot of trips to Nashville lately. Three trips in June, but I think I finally have Hudson in good shape to start his life and career here. And, its a good thing, because today is the day it all starts!
1) You Don’t Know Me This limited series on Netflix was really good! It is set in England, but their accents are different from a lot of English accents. If you are a Peloton rider, think Hannah Frankson over Ben Aldis. I loved it when they would say “innit” for “isn’t it”. Anyway, the show itself was quite entertaining. Twists and turns, but I sort of, not completely, figured out the ending.
2) Pureology Instant Levitation Mist This was a sneaky little find on the Pureology website for me. I don’t like mousse for volume, but volume is hard to come by with my hair. This stuff does the trick! You spray it on while your hair is wet (at the roots) and it doesn’t dry stiff or crunchy. I am loving it!
3) Travel Backpack I am always on the hunt for the perfect backpack for traveling. I have spent major money ($150+) only to feel it is not quite there. I may have just found “it”! I ordered this on Amazon on a whim after my last backpack broke on my last trip and it came in literally minutes before I was heading to the airport. I threw everything I normally keep in my backpack in it and hit the road. While I look forward to exploring all the secret pockets when I get home, I am loving this so far! And guess what…it was only like $36. My mom would never travel with backpacks because she said they weren’t real fashion forward, but I always question if hobbling through the airport with an over sized shoulder bag was a good look??
4) Threshold Coconut & Honey Candle I don’t use candles that often anymore as a lot of them sting my eyes. Hudson picked this one out from Target, and I decided to burn it while setting up his apartment. It smells so good and NO stinging of the eyes! I went online immediately and ordered some more for him and some for me at home!
While I’m sad to leave my baby boy behind, tomorrow is his first 24-hour on call, I’m ready to get back home as well. I just feel like I need to be there when his artwork and other decor arrive but I guess we’ll have to FaceTime so I can show him where to put things in my “vision” ha ha! Happy 4th!
