Friday Faves
I’m actually doing Friday Faves on Friday this week. In the morning. So timely!
1) Rechargeable Lamps This is a second appearance of rechargeable lamps in my Faves. My daughter, Hayley, housesat for us when we were out of town, and just before we left she made fun of this lamp in particular because it’s tiny. Well, well, she admitted she had to bite her tongue hard when our electricity went out for several hours and this tiny little lamp as well as other rechargeable lamps around the house came to her rescue! She and her boyfriend were walking around the house carrying these lamps like they were Scrooge or someone from Harry Potter (I can’t remember who they said). She said they were SO helpful that she felt bad making fun of them. Honestly, I don’t know that I would have thought to use them in a power outage, so good job Hayley!
2) Kobalt Cordless Blower This little blower my friend Cheryl suggested is wonderful to keep on my patio for touch ups every couple of days. Sometimes we still have to get the big boy backpack blower out, but if we keep up with it and blow off the patio every couple of days, this cordless blower is awesome!!
3) Pioneer Woman’s Best Baked Beans Recipe She actually got this recipe from someone else, but when I was searching for a baked bean recipe, her name popped up so I knew it would be good! Last night we went to a rib dinner with friends. I was tasked with bringing a side. Usually I would just go pick something up from a restaurant, I know, I know, I’m super lazy…but I decided I would cook something this time, and thought baked beans sounded good. I did a Google search and found this recipe. It was SO good! And I’m thankful to my neighbor Brenda for coming to my rescue with BBQ Sauce. I can’t believe we didn’t have any BBQ Sauce in our house. I will definitely make this recipe again and because I’ve figured out what I’m doing I think it will be even better! I will say it’s kind of hard to transport in the car, but we managed.
4) The Outfit On our cruise, one of my favorite things is watching old movies in the cabin. On this particular cruise they also had some more recent movie offerings. One day while at sea, Walt and I watched this movie and it was really good! I had never heard of it before. We really enjoyed it.
So there you have it, my Faves for the week. Enjoy!
