Friday Faves
Good morning! How about some Friday Faves? One of my potential resolutions for 2024 was not purchasing things from IG. I’m glad I didn’t listen to myself, two of my Faves this week were IG purchases! 🤪 Moderation is the key.
1) Vessi Weekend Shoes I am going on 3 fairly big trips in the next few months. These shoes popped up on IG, and claimed to be comfortable, supportive, breathable, lightweight, waterproof and perfect for traveling. They said all the right things, so of course I had to buy them. I’ve worn them twice to make sure they were broken in for traveling, and I really like them. I think they could be a little dorky, but dorky sneaks (retro) seem to be in right now. They actually look pretty cute with jeans and with leggings.2) Innatus Aromatherapy Shower Steamer I was cleaning out my closet recently and found this. I had no idea I had it or where it came from (don’t judge). I’m pretty sure it came from an old FabFitFun box. I decided, since I own it, why not try it?! I actually am a huge fan! You spray a little into the shower stream and it’s like you are in a spa. I looked for it on Amazon but couldn’t find this exact one, although they had several offerings that I may try when this runs out.
3) Skinn Derm Appeal Microderm Abrasion Treatment You guessed it: Thank you, IG! I have been trying to use this 2x a week since early February, and I really like it! My face feels so smooth and my makeup goes on better.
4) Anna O: A Novel by Matthew Blake This book was a 12+hour listen. A little longer than I usually listen to, although I thought the premise sounded interesting. When I started listening it sounded kind of formal (the male narrator) and I wasn’t sure I’d like it. It may be better to actually read this one if you are picky about narrators? I don’t know. (Ironically, the next book I picked, I noticed has the same guy narrating one of the parts. I’ll start it today, so we shall see…) Anyway, I ended up REALLY liking it a lot! The ending was completely unexpected (big twist). I read somewhere that this was Matthew Blake’s debut novel. It was definitely a good one!
That’s it for this week! Happy Friday!
