Friday Faves

 Happy Friday! I’m looking forward to a low key weekend. Here are my Faves for this week:


1) Farmer Wants a Wife Y’all, I know, this seems like a questionable Fave, but I’m kind of obsessed. When we were in Vegas, two of the farmers were sitting next to us in the hotel bar. I recognized them from the commercials on TV. We ended up chatting with the younger one. He described the show as “more wholesome than the Bachelor” (He wasn’t kidding. Dorky is the word that comes to mind…) I asked him if he found a wife and he said: You’ll have to watch and see! So, I decided to watch. I’m a little worried about him because two of his women left last episode. 😅 It’s addicting. The episodes are short and sweet (wholesomely so).

2) Spanx AirEssentials I am new to the Spanx clothing game. Someone online suggested these for travel. Since I have several trips coming up I decided to try them. They are SO soft and comfortable! I threw them on one day when I wasn’t feeling great and they were perfect. I’m sad to be discovering them now as the weather is warming up. Hopefully they’ll come up with a short sleeve option.

3) Avenova Lid and Lash Cleansing Spray Yep, you guessed it. IG got me again! My eyes, especially the right one, frequently feel itchy and painful. They sting, look red, and just hurt. I figured I’d give this a try. Honestly, it works! I use it 2x a day. I forgot to take it on my trip to Nashville last weekend, and that is truly when I could tell it was working. My eyes missed it. 

4) First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston I finally drank the Kool-Aid. Everyone was talking about/reading this book so I put it lower down on my list. I don’t always like to read what’s popular when it’s trending. (Does that make me assy? 😂) Anyway, this is a good book. I think it would be better read than listened to. The narrator and her accents were a little annoying at times.

Friday Faves

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
