2019 Week #2 Wednesday Faves
Here we go full on into 2019! It was a rough start for me as I got sick on New Year's Day and am still kinda feeling it. Today the doctor said what I had was either viral or Mountain Cedar Fever, or more likely, both. I got a steroid shot today, so we will see...I told my friends that steroid shots are nectar of of the gods. I have high hopes! But, onward and upward to my Faves!
1) This stuff is the best!! It has helped me get the rest I need (and Walt needs) while I have been sick. My daughter Hayley found it in our medicine box when she was sick at Christmas and recommended it to me when I got sick. This is my second bottle! It's a winner!
2) My friend Donna recommended this trick and I jumped on it! On January 2nd (because I was SUPER sick on January 1st), I turned all the hangers in my closet backwards. As I wear an item, the hanger goes back the other way. Whatever hasn't been worn by June 1st (unless there's a reason why) will be donated, sold, or trashed. I really want to purge my house this year and this will be a no brainer!
3) Y'all, I have been a hold out for SO long. I refused to read her book, and when my sweet daughter told me about this "organizing" show on Netflix she thought I'd like because she knows I love organizing (she has not watched yet), I figured out it was the Marie Kondo method and I said, "Absolutely not!" But, I did. Now I'm hooked! Although her lesson #1 is Clothes, I have until June 1st for that....yikes. I really want to try Donna's method mentioned above. At first I thought talking to the house and thanking the items you are discarding was kind of weird, but I kind of want to do it!! Ha, ha! I am loving Tidying Up with Marie Kondo! She's so quirky cute and inspiring! (But I can't imagine folding my clothes that way....)
4) Wayfair has just gone to the top of my list for online home furnishings and customer service! I ordered a fun floor lamp for our family room, it arrived quickly, I assembled it and nothing. It would not work. I changed out the bulbs, the outlets, nothing. So I contacted Wayfair to start a return. In less than 1 minute the funds were back in my Paypal account AND I got a notification that there was no need to send the item back to them! I was relieved by this because I couldn't even get the styrofoam back into the box and get the lid closed! The easiest return process EVER! Wayfair you are my Fave!!
Have a wonderful week everyone! Be inspired!
