2019 Week #4 Wednesday Faves

I had hoped to expand my blog beyond just my Faves in 2019, but so far, there has been no time.  My hat goes off to those who seem to do it all!  I'll get there, eventually.  This week's Faves are pretty fun!

1) My lovely daughter gave me this tote bag for Christmas.  I had seen it online months earlier, so when she told me about it I already had "my four" in my Notes on my phone.  You pick favorite four things, for me it was ID TV, Online Shopping, Finley (sweet baby girl), and Wine.  The bag helps some sort of charity or other, but it's just so darned fun!  Thank you, Hayley!

 2) I have laughed at this for days!  Walt laughed out loud at work when I texted it to him.  I saw it on Facebook and I have to say that the girl who ends up with this kid will be very lucky.  He has set his future marriage up for success!

 3) I was very lucky to get two weighted blankets for Christmas, from two people who know me VERY well!  I love them both!  The one in the photo is called Calming Comfort by Sharper Image.  The other one says ackbrands on the tag.  It has more of a down comforter cover to it.  I was worried about them being being too hot, but let me tell you, they are not!  When I have used them for warmth (such as today) I have to put another blanket on top of the weighted blanket (or under it) for the warmth.  But, all in all, I love them for taking naps!  Thank you Walt and Kim!

 4) I am loving Instacart!  I had not heard of it until recently.  I use Amazon Fresh quite often, and sometimes I'll send groceries to my kiddo who lives in Carrollton.  They do not have Amazon Fresh right now in Houston where my med student lives.  One of his friends told him about Instacart so we tried it.  And, we love it!  We budget out his weekly money and he fills his "cart" and then I send him the groceries so he can meal prep without taking the time to shop in the store.  Less stress for him makes me one happy momma!

 Hope everyone has a Happy Wednesday!  My poor hubs is super sick so I hope he feels better soon.

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone.   Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
