Wednesday Faves Week 3

Good morning! This is a wet with fog kind of day. It’s kind of gross (interesting side note: I spelled gross “groce” in high school until a boyfriend made fun of me and corrected me 🤪) My Faves are a bit random, but nevertheless great this week!


1) Last year for Christmas (as in 2018), Walt got this Nixplay Digital Photo Frame as a gift from his coworkers. I highjacked it and I LOVE IT! My favorite thing about is that my kids, husband, anyone really, can send photos directly to the frame. It’s like little surprises ever so often.  They just have to have the log in info. It’s also super easy to change the photos as the seasons change. It’s a happy maker!!

2) SuperSoulSunday has become one of my favorite shows! I watch it almost every Sunday. Oprah interviews different people and it just feeds my soul! Sometimes I take notes. It’s just so good and I love listening to other’s perspectives.

3) Y’all know I’m crazy for diffusers and this may be my most favorite one yet. The operation of it is a little tricky (as in, I’m not sure it’s my best one from an operational standpoint), but I love the way it looks in the house and I’m mesmerized by the changing colors. My daughter was having trouble with black film on surfaces in her apartment and we figured out it was from candles, so I switched her over to diffusers and wax melts. I have been diffusing at bedtime for a long time, but I have some uplifting blends for daytime. When my stepdad owned his A/C company he used to tell me candles were SO bad! So we are trying diffusers instead (with the occasional candle). So far so great!

4) I am not crazy about chocolate. But, I’m crazy about this Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Fudge Caramel square. My husband bought a mixed bag of chocolates for the holidays and I can usually just pass right on by. One day I found myself with a sweet tooth and I picked this one out of the bowl. Oh my goodness. There were only two of these left in the bowl, yes I picked through and found them, and I hid them for later! I sure did. So yummy!

Friday Faves

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone. There’s a little glitch with this set, so they are going to be replaced, but they still make me squeal every time I walk into the room. 4) Shut the Box Game  My family, as usual...

  Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
