Book 2 The Truth We Bury
Big sigh...this will be a quick post at I am heading out the door to mentoring, but I just finished my second book of 2018. I did not love it. As a matter of fact, I just wanted it to be over. I know, I know, people say if you aren't enjoying a book, just put it down. But I don't feel that way. I feel like I've wasted a week or so getting to that point if I don't see it through.
I'm not sure what turned me off of this book so much. It was set in Texas and I find it annoying when authors feel they have to make their characters so stereotypical "Texan". I also feel the characters were very whiny and "why me". I'm sure a lot of people will love this book, but it was so sappy (even though it was a mystery) and I just don't care for sappy. So, when people ask me to recommend a book to them, this one will not be one I'll recommend. Go to Amazon, look at the description, and decide for yourself. I'm ready for Book 3....
