Wednesday Faves Week #3


It was super important (and a little challenging) for me to find Faves today.  What was supposed to be a glorious morning of sleeping in, turned into a crazy night of slapstick comedy proportions!  At 2:05 am we were slammed awake by the blood curdling fire alarms going off all over our house.  We were literally running around in circles trying to figure out what to do.  We finally turned them off, only to hit the "snooze" on them every 10 minutes for the next 6 hours!  No joke.  We've silenced them for now, but will be getting them replaced and going to bed early tonight.  Our smoke detectors are currently my NOT Faves, but of course I found my Faves to share:

1) My middle child, Harrison, is truly like MacGiver.  Finley, the dog, was playing around and pounced on the remote, knocking the "Select" button off.  We can't find it, and she may or may not have eaten it. Naughty Finley. You don't realize how often you use something until you no longer have it.  So Harrison goes and finds this clear thumbtack and cuts off the pin part.  He turns it upside down into the "Select" hole and voile! It works.  He does this kind of stuff all the time.  I wish he had more confidence in his talents! No offense to anyone, but he's who I'd want to be stuck somewhere with because he could get us loose, find our way home...

2) This essential oil blend by Stellar Naturals called Anxiety Relief is so calming when diffused.  I truly feel myself "chilling out", ha, ha!  I love it!  The bad news is that I can only find it in a set on Amazon, but the good news is I happen to like all of the other blends in the set as well.

3)I'm truly digging Colleen Rothschild Skincare AND their Customer Service.  When this product was sold out, they sent me a travel size to tide me over.  I just received the full size product last week and they included a 30% discount on my next order for my inconvenience! But this product is so bizarre, and yet I love it.  It is literally a balm that you rub in your hands to make warm before applying to your face.  It's a cleanser and for this "greasy phobic" girl it is scary.  But it actually is awesome and doesn't leave your face greasy at all.  I am loving it!

4)I got this new stainless steel hot/cold bottle.  It keeps hot drinks hot for 12 hours and cold drinks cold for 24 hours.  The weather has been so cold and I've battled a cough off and on for a month, so this ginger tea in the hot bottle has been wonderful!  I think I've had one every afternoon for the past week and a half. Super yummy and it warms me up!

It's great for me to always find Faves even when I'm having a crappy week.  All four of these things make me happy!  Enjoy!

  While I did get some random submissions for Faves this week (Larry’s will never happen), I remained on my own. 1) SHOWKOO Luggage Set  I got this luggage set for my upcoming trip (we leave Sunday) because I need to take the carry on and the duffle with me on the plane. I’m trying this duffle in lieu of my usual backpack. I’m excited about it, and hope it’s still a favorite after the trip! 2) Survivor Season 48  While it wasn’t our favorite season premiere, we LOVE Survivor in this house and we love watching it together! 3) Govee Lights  We recently added a bar in our house and my contractor made this light box and used Govee lights. We already have Govee lights around our TV so I was familiar with them and I love them! They can change colors, be put on a timer, etc., all from my phone.   Finally home and settled from our Australia/New Zealand adventure. My Faves this week were awesome for me while traveling! 1) Power Plug Adapter  We have used many different plug adapters while traveling, but these were the best we have used! With one adapter we were able to charge everything and I could even curl my hair, ha, ha! Highly recommend! These were compatible in Australia/New Zealand, so I’m hopeful to find some for our next travel adventure, 2) Rothy’s Sneakers  I may have posted these before, but I love love love them when traveling. I own two pair and took them both with me.  3) One Step Behind by Lauren North  I listened to this book (and two others) while on this trip. I had never listened to a book by this author, and I really enjoyed the book. Unique plot for sure. 4) Coach Sling Bag  This might be my favorite of all Faves! I purchased this specifically for my trip to wear on tours/excursions, and I loved it! It has two zippered compartm...

Friday Faves Cabo Edition

Today I’m in Cabo, traveling with my little Andy for the first time. Doing my Faves while he naps.   1) The Business Trip by Jessie Garcia  I’m not even sure how I found this book, and it seems to be the first one she’s written, but it was SO good! I listened to it and there was a full cast of narrators so it was like a performance. Loved the ending! Thought I had it figured out but I was wrong. 2) happyhappyhouseplant on IG  This is my current favorite account on IG. Her name is Mandi Gubler and she is awesome! I literally do not have one live plant in my house, but I’m obsessed with her and almost feel like I could try one! What I like best about her is that her IG stories aren’t long, and she’s very informative and encouraging. Some people I follow go on and on and tell you every minute of their day.
